Any reports on the Burnt River?  Coming up this weekend, and just wondering how the lake is too. This will be the first spring at our cottage, does the lake rise much, or is it just the river that floods? Thanks.

Last year the lake was about 2 feet higher than normal spring.  I hear its high again this year and is expected to get higher.

Apparently the Burnt River is about 10 feet higher than normal.  Also, apparently a lot of the Trent is way above the normal water level too.

Ice could easily be in until the last week of April or May.  Apparently there is still a ton and only places with strong current have broken off a bit.  Not too much current on Four Mile and with this cold week the ice has probably firmed up a bit.
