Four Mile EVENT @ Public Beach Sat Aug 24
Aug 15th, 2013 at 8:55am

Having erosion trouble down at the lake? Want to keep the geese away from your property? Wondering how to deal with all the weeds that have sprouted up in recent years? Worried about toxic blue-green algae, which has been spotted in some nearby lakes?

Come and meet Kawartha Conservation's Blue Canoe team at the Blue Canoe Dock Talk at the Four Mile Lake Public Beach on Saturday August 24. It's completely informal - an open house starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m. The perfect place to get answers to all your shoreline and related environmental questions and hear about ways to enhance the water's edge for maximum benefit.

Kawartha Conservation is the same organization that spoke at our Association's AGM this past June. They've recently embarked on a three-year study of Four Mile Lake. The study will lead to an eventual management plan to protect the lake and watershed for future generations.
